Horn of Africa Relief Fund
Hey, Crowners!
We want to take a moment today to share with you again about our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and to support the Horn of Africa Relief Fund.
There’s a serious drought in the Horn of Africa, specifically referring to countries Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia. Because of this a large population (approximately 13 million people) are suffering from famine. Families are struggling day to day. Other conflicts, such as political conflicts, economic conflicts, and social conflicts accumulating within the area are mounting and are greatly affecting the lives of many.
Communities and organizations have reached out to lend more than a few helping hands but with the severe scarcity, it’s still not enough for them to fully overcome the drought. They need more than basic food and water supplies and the already overcrowded refugee camps.
This is something that needs international attention. That’s where One Day’s Wages comes in.
One Day’s Wages launched the Horn of Africa Relief Fund in hopes that the relief could help towards alleviating some of the issues. They’ve committed $10,000 to start this fund surpassing their original goal to raise $50,000. Today, they’re still continuing to raise funds even after exceeding $137,000.
After learning this, we’ve recently partnered with One Day’s Wages as well by creating a campaign and donating $5,000 to this relief fund.
Now we need your help. Share this information on Facebook and Twitter. Spread the word by sharing and tweeting (#ccodw) with everyone to raise awareness. It only takes a second. We would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you! – CC
