Horn of Africa Relief Fund

Hey, Crowners!

We want to take a moment today to share with you again about our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and to support the Horn of Africa Relief Fund.

There’s a serious drought in the Horn of Africa, specifically referring to countries Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia.  Because of this a large population (approximately 13 million people) are suffering from famine.  Families are struggling day to day.  Other conflicts, such as political conflicts, economic conflicts, and social conflicts accumulating within the area are mounting and are greatly affecting the lives of many.

Communities and organizations have reached out to lend more than a few helping hands but with the severe scarcity, it’s still not enough for them to fully overcome the drought.  They need more than basic food and water supplies and the already overcrowded refugee camps.

This is something that needs international attention.  That’s where One Day’s Wages comes in.

One Day’s Wages launched the Horn of Africa Relief Fund in hopes that the relief could help towards alleviating some of the issues.  They’ve committed $10,000 to start this fund surpassing their original goal to raise $50,000.  Today, they’re still continuing to raise funds even after exceeding $137,000.

After learning this, we’ve recently partnered with One Day’s Wages as well by creating a campaign and donating $5,000 to this relief fund.

Now we need your help.  Share this information on Facebook and Twitter.  Spread the word by sharing and tweeting (#ccodw) with everyone to raise awareness.  It only takes a second.  We would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you! – CC

Bold Trifold Case for the Amazon Kindle Fire

Hey, Crowners!

Here it is, guys.  The Bold Trifold.  Ever wonder why we call it a trifold?  Well, it’s pretty self explanatory if you haven’t figured it out yet.  The front cover has three sides.  The folds allow the cover to bend in multiple ways and transform into a viewing stand when you’re using your Kindle Fire.  Look at the picture above. Even at a quick glance, you can see that it’s really versatile.  You can put it in different positions.  You can stand it upright or you can even lay out down flatter.  It all just depends on your preference.  But either way, both options are there.  When you stand it up, you can use the little flap on the back of the case… you know, as a kickstand.  Or you can fold it back as a triangle.  Again, preference.  The interior of the case is really soft because it’s lined with this suede-like material so that it safely encloses your Kindle Fire without scratching the screen (but if you’re still paranoid, we have a Kindle Fire screen protector coming soon that’ll be available on casecrown.com so be sure to look out for that).  You can only see black in the picture, but this Bold Trifold case is available in three different colors.  You can choose from black, blue, and red.  When we come out with cases, we start out with the basic standard colors, such as black, blue, and red.  If you’ve followed CaseCrown long enough and have made a few purchases in the past, you would’ve noticed that. We try to see what kind of colors people request and what some of your favorite colors are.  So if you have any color requests for ANY of our cases, give us a shout!  We’re always here with open ears and all.

If you’re looking forward to the Kindle Fire screen protector and you want us to notify you when it becomes available, please contact support@casecrown.com.

IWearYourShirt Recap!

Hey, Crowners!

So here’s a short recap of what went down yesterday with CaseCrown and IWearYourShirt.

Last time we saw these guys back in August, they did such an amazing job that we knew they would be super totally awesome the second time around.  And we were right!  Jason, Amber, Angela, Neal, and DeAndre from IWYS were rockin’ their CaseCrown T-shirts, talking about our products, and throwing out questions for giveaways in their live streams.

If you didn’t get a chance to check out their YouTube videos, here they are.  Check it out!  Watch them cover some of our latest products.  Thanks guys!  We really appreciate it!

Watch Neal’s video!

Amber’s having some issues with her naked iPhone 4S.  CaseCrown to the rescue.

Jason updates us on his relationship with his iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.

Watch DeAndre’s video!

Watch Angela pick out an outfit for her iPad 2.

Thank you so much again for everything.  We really appreciate what you’ve done for us!  Who knows?  We might see you again next year!

Holiday Decorations!

Hey, Crowners!

A day after Thanksgiving, the Marketing Team… along with… basically everyone at CaseCrown marched in to work! Yup, on Black Friday.  While others were hard at work fulfilling orders, answering customer e-mails, printing labels, packing, and shipping everything out… we decorated our Christmas tree!

Once we took out the tree and ornaments from last year and set it up, we realized we needed more ornaments.  So during lunch… we went shopping!  We purchased so many colorful ornaments!  We also got mini-Christmas trees for our desks while we

got ornaments.  Jessica brought her own mini-Christmas tree from home to put on her desk.  It jingles with bells! Decorating the tree was the best part! It always is, isn’t it?  Zach and Jessica did a great job decorating the tree. Thanks, guys!

Over to the right, you’ll see our original CaseCrown felt ornament made by Tom last year.  We’re pretty crafty people!

Hope you guys are enjoying the snow, cup of hot cocoa, Christmas songs on the radio, Christmas movies on TV, shopping for presents, wrapping gifts, sending out holiday cards with warm and fuzzy messages…

Can’t wait to see what Christmas at CaseCrown will be like this year!  We’re really looking forward to it!

Check out more photos of our Christmas tree and us decorating from our Facebook photo album!  You can also view them on our Google + page and Flickr!
